Meet Kyon - like lion with a K! He was originally adopted from us in 2021 as a puppy. But over the the last two years, his owner's son has had allergy flair ups. They finally identified it's the Husky part of Kyon... so he's been returned to the rescue. Honestly, they family is crushed, but they can't find a medical solution to give their son the relief he needs. Kyon was raised with kids and other dogs. He's your typical friendly, energetic boy that will need a family willing to go on walks and hikes, as well as cuddle time.

From the first look at mommy in a high kill CA shelter, we know she was part husky - beautiful blue eyes. DNA told us the rest... they are Pitskys! More Pit than Sky... oh so sweet. Kyon loves camping and WALKS... he'd be a great companion for hikes. Although not a big fan of the car, once he's at his destination, he's ready for fun.

He currently weighs about 70#. We think an active home with large fenced yard would be a good fit. And of course, other friendly dogs are always a plus! He can be a little shy at first with strangers, but while taking photos in a busy park, he was curious about meeting all the kids. Large breed dog experience is required.

Kyon is neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.

Save-A-Mutt requires a training contract and deposit on all our large and/or dominant breed puppies. You must be willing to start socializing and training as soon vaccinations are completed at 16 weeks. You pick a trainer in your area, and upon completion of a 6+ week training class, we will refund the deposit.

Adoptions take typically take place in the Marysville area. This dog is ready to go home.

Adoption fee is $175 + $100 refundable training deposit. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.

Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
