My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Behaviors: Commander can be timid but does like to be acknowledged when you enter a room. He will let you pick him up and give cuddles with a gentle and slow approach.

Cats: Ignores them

Other dogs: Interacts very well with other dogs in the foster home. He is around 2 small breeds and a medium breed size. He is not bothered being separated to his spot for dinner time and knows not to bother any of his foster brother and sister's spots.

Children: Commander has been around a 4-year-old and a 15-year-old without any issues. He does get excited when they are around but does not seem concerned with kids around, but these kids know dog boundaries and do not try to grab on him when he is not open to touch.

Adults: LOVES his adult foster momma. He will approach with his wagging stubby tail and butt just a wiggling. He loves to be picked up and loved on by adults.

Potty Training Progress: Still a work in progress. At times he gets so excited that he pees. Goes out every 1 1/2 hours as he is a puppy and needs to have a routine. Will still have accidents but has been going out in the morning after he wakes up and will pee and poop with lots of praise and a small treat. No marking yet or lifting of the leg. He squats to almost sitting and standing.

Great things to know about Commander: He will walk on a leash right next to his person. He is an early riser, waking every day at 7am. He enjoys sleeping in the bed with his foster momma and foster siblings. Does not like his crate and will avoid it as much as he possibly can. He is starting to learn how cool toys and treats are because his foster siblings get REALLY excited when those things are around.
