My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet, young fella was put outside, with his sister, Sapphire (who's already been adopted) to fend for themselves. When I was contacted to help, both he and Sapphire were living in the parking lot of a Baptist Church in South Central Los Angeles... both with collars that were too tight around their necks.

We first got Sapphire transported to our rescue in the San Fernando Valley and shortly after, Thaddeus stopped hanging out in that location. Instead, he went back to the home that threw him out like trash. You'll see the heartbreaking clip of him sitting at their door... confused and scared.

We were finally able to get him a couple of weeks later and he's now safe with a foster mom. Unfortunately, this is only a temporary solution since the kind woman is a teacher and will be starting back on a school schedule soon.

We don't know much about him (nor his sister, Sapphire... both names I've given them), except that they had received no vetting whatsoever; including vaccines nor spay/neuter.

But I'm listing Thaddeus now because he will be available on a foster-to-adopt basis. He's booked for his neuter, combo-test, and vaccinations in a little over one week - from the time of this upload.

His sister tested negative for FIV/FeLV and Thaddeus is a healthy boy, so I'm confident his lab work will come back the same.

Meanwhile, he's been flea/mite treated and received his first deworming. He'll require a 2nd round in 2-3 weeks.

Basically, Thaddeus is gentle, sweet, affectionate and highly-social. He had been living outside with other cats/kittens, so he'll probably be fine in a multi-cat home.

You'll find ALL of our adoptable cats and kittens on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties". That's also where I chronicle every rescue including updates from fosters and adopters!

Thaddeus's adoption will include his:
* Neuter surgery,
* De-worming,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution),
* and Micro chipping!

~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~

* Please only contact us if you'll be making this dapper fella a permanent member of your household and will be keeping him safe indoors.

** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!

*** You can also find ALL our adoptables on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including rescue stories, photos and video updates from our adopters and fosters).

Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!
