My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kruger is a 6.5-year-old American Blue Heeler mix. His energy is infectious, and he's playful, always ready for a game of fetch! Kruger's intelligence is remarkable, and you could say he's a bit of a smarty-pants. He quickly learns new tricks and commands, making him a delightful challenge for any dog lover! Kruger has a sheer love for life, and he's ready to experience life in a forever home. His playfulness, friendliness, and sweetness all combine to create a dog who is simply a joy to be around! The one thing Kruger asks is that there are no children or cats in his future home. Own any dogs? Let's set up a dog meet and greet to ensure they all get along. Kruger is ready to meet you!

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri is to aid in the alleviation of distress and suffering of animals by operating a shelter in need of care, placing animals in suitable homes, and offering educational programs that promote animal welfare.

We receive our animals from people giving up their pets for a variety of reasons, including changes in family situations and moving. Some of our animals have been strays rescued from the streets by a kind citizen, but all of our animals are looking for permanent, loving forever homes.
