Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Benji was adopted to a family prior to us from a shelter. When they received orders to Hawaii, they offered him up to our neighborhood near Moncks Corner, SC. Had two dogs and two cats already, but took him in anyway.
Now we we’ve moved—no more fenced yard and smaller space, and a landlord. Already adopted out a Golden. :(
Benji is the most gentle dog we’ve ever come across, and genuinely dog and people friendly—very socially-tempered.
He’s easy-going and content within himself, but when the spark to play comes out, he’s a hoot. (See pic of him in a play-ready stance. He’s very cute when he does this.) He also lets out an irresistibly adorable hound dog howl. Let’s play!
One need he has is to be comforted on the quite rare, but definite seizure he has that are months apart. Not sure if he’s epileptic or what, but it does happen on occasion. Once over, after maybe 10-15 minutes, he returns to his normal self.
This in no way detracts from his huggableness!
