"My name is Duke and I came here in July with my friend Daisy. I arrived with no front teeth and lots of skin issues from fleas. As you can see, we have a ways to go, but my hair is growing back more every day. I am a calm, sweet boy, about 7 years old and weigh about 46 pounds. Even tho I'm chill, I also have a playful side. I walk politely on a leash. I love people and get along with other dogs. I even played with a young puppy here named Dice. Youngsters like him need some instruction from an older gentlemen like me. I haven't been tested with kids or cats, but with my personality, most likely I would be fine with both. (But ask the shelter if you want me to be cat-tested. Sorry, but you'll have to bring your own kiddos, cuz they don't keep any of them here at the shelter.) My dream home will be one where they will want me to be with them--not just left alone in the yard. I also hope they make sure I don't get fleas again, and maybe I could have a dog bed too. If you are looking for someone to be your best friend forever, pick me, Duke!
