We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. This boy is a true joy.

He can take a small time to adjust, but then it's party time. This came as a surprise to his foster mom as she knew he had a tragic story and a life of struggle before being brought to our sister rescue, SOS el Arca in Mexico. He had a badly damaged leg, which needed to be amputated. We don’t know his past story but it was a difficult one from the scars that remain on his body.

Elvis, true to dog form, chooses to be happy he lives in the moment, and when he has a confident leader, he moves forward!!

Elvis is a tripod, but you wouldn't know by his zoomies and hippity- hops.
True to his namesake, Elvis is more drawn to ladies than men and is good with respectful children. His back paw is sensitiveso young ones need to be very gentle.  Elvis is excellent with  cats and good with dogs but doesn't like to share his food with them, so in his foster home, he eats his meals in his crate.  Elvis loves outdoor activities but needs reminders when he is on leash to slow down, but he is always ready for an adventure!! He acts like a big puppy.  He has been clean in the home, He is house trained and crate trained and does use a crate when his fosters are at work ( 6 hours a day ) and if it is a rainy day he does not like to do his business outside so a walk is a must or an out as soon as the rain clears.

Elvis has no issue traveling and has been out on a few camping trips without issue. He has got a whole lot of loving to do...now he just needs to find his very own people.

Elvis needs a limited diet food and would benefit from a weekly oatmeal bath until his fur all grows back in.

If you feel you would be the right fit for Elvis, please fill out an adoption application at www.allpawsmatter.ca

All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety.

NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed.

BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!
