My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Jake and my family had to move away from Texas and couldn't take me with them, so I'm looking for my second chance at a fur-ever home.  I'm shy and looking for a quiet and patient family who will help me to acclimate to my new home.  I love snoozing on the couch, head and belly rubs, chasing laser beams, meditating on your desk, being brushed, and jumping in boxes.  I'm also a 5-star biscuit maker!  I would be fine as a single cat, serving as a work-from-home-buddy who can keep your lap warm while you work.  I can also be introduced to another cat to see if we can be pals.

Anyone interested in our dogs/cats will be required to fill out an adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. All our dogs/cats will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs), FeLV/FIV tested (cats), microchipped, and current on vaccinations.

We do not adopt on a first-come first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on our personal experiences with the animal. These animals live in our homes with us so we are familiar with their habits and behaviors. Home visits may be required prior to adoption approval.

To fill out an application online or to find out more information about our adoption process, go to www.friscohumanesociety.com & click on the "Adoption" link.

More about this rescue

Frisco Humane Society is an all-volunteer organization and completely relies on fundraising/donations to continue our rescue efforts and provide veterinary care. We do not have a shelter, as all animals live in our homes until adopted. Our goal are saving precious lives, promoting adoption from rescue, and reducing the pet population through spay and neuter.
