My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marc has a BIG purrsonality!  He loves being the big brother for new family kittens, puppy fosters and even for dogs and cats who are bigger than him.  His favorite family member is the family's 3-yr-old Great Pyrenees dog.  They love to groom each other, wrestle, and cuddle each other to sleep.  Marc also loves to entertain himself, make each object a toy, and burrow in your lap under the blankets.

Marc has special medical needs since he contracted feline herpes (FVR) before he joined the FHS program.  He requires daily meds to manage the symptoms of FVR and is on prescription Z/D food for food allergies, Convenia shots for URI and lysine to help strengthen his immune system.

Feline herpes (FVR) is not contagious to humans or any non-feline creatures.

Anyone interested in our dogs/cats will be required to fill out an adoption application. We do not adopt to anyone living outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. All our dogs/cats will be spayed/neutered, heart worm tested (dogs), FeLV/FIV tested (cats), microchipped, and current on vaccinations.

We do not adopt on a first-come first-served basis. We review all applications received to ensure that the animal and the applicant are a good match based on our personal experiences with the animal. These animals live in our homes with us so we are familiar with their habits and behaviors. Home visits may be required prior to adoption approval.

To fill out an application online or to find out more information about our adoption process, go to www.friscohumanesociety.com & click on the "Adoption" link.

More about this rescue

Frisco Humane Society is an all-volunteer organization and completely relies on fundraising/donations to continue our rescue efforts and provide veterinary care. We do not have a shelter, as all animals live in our homes until adopted. Our goal are saving precious lives, promoting adoption from rescue, and reducing the pet population through spay and neuter.
