My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOR ADOPTION: ROSE is a one year old female, 60lb, shepherd mix that’s looking for a very loving and active family. This pretty lady was surrendered to us when she was hit by a car and her owner was unable to pay her vet bills. Rose got off very lucky, she broke her toe and badly tore the pad of her foot.It was not a major injury but it did still take a couple of months to fully heal. While Rose was on down time healing we are able to really get to know her. Rose is a sweet, loving dog that is excellent with children and has a passion for snuggles. She is also a highly intelligent and active girl that will keep up on any and all outdoor activities and is food motivated and very easily trained. She walks well in a halti, is clean in her kennel and has been non destructive at the shelter. Now that Rose is healed she is starting to be able to socialize with other dogs. She does best with respectful friends. If a dog is getting aggressive and in her face Rose will react but she is excellent with other dogs that are approaching her respectfully. Rose loves to play and would really enjoy a playful friend but she has also taken cues well from our older and calmer dogs and can happily chill with them. Rose has been fairly intense during her testing with cats and we do not think she will do well living with small animals such ad cats or chickens. Rose has not spent much time in vehicles and they do make her a little anxious. The more fun outings she can get the more she will realize cars mean adventures.Rose is spayed, vaccinated, up to date on parasite control and so ready to get settled with her forever family. If you’ve been looking for a loving adventure buddy apply today a www.NWAS.ca for a chance to meet ROSE #NWASRose
