Soba is a sweet boy who needs some time to warm up to you. Place your hand out and he’ll let you know if he wants to be petted. He’s a chunky monkey who’s laid back and relaxed majority of the time. Give him some time and he’ll cuddle up near you or right by you to show his appreciation of your love and attention. Yes, he is an attention seeker. Some times when he sees you, he’ll lay down and expose his belly to say hello or ask for pets. He likes dry food and a water fountain is really efficient to get him to be more hydrated. A scratch post would be ideal for him as well. When I first got him, he hid under the bed of a few hours but it doesn’t take him long to familiarize himself to the surrounding. It doesn’t take him long to be comfortable around you. I’d advise not to pet his belly much because he’ll get overstimulated and will kick your hand off. He loves little scratches and rub between his eyebrows.
