My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ginger! Ginger is a true rescue dog. She was rescued from a family who had a dog-aggressive pet in the home which eventually cost her a trip to the ER. The previous owner did not have the financial ability to treat Ginger, so she was going to be euthanized. Fortunately, we were able to step in and get her the care she needs and get her all healed up!

Since we've had Ginger, she has become the silliest, goofiest dog there ever was! She LOVES giving all the kisses, running, playing with toys, and snuggling! She does really well with other dogs and even cats. Once you meet Ginger, you'll have a best friend for life!

Please consider Ginger as you continue your search for a new furry friend, contact us or Summit Veterinary Hospital at (979) 315-1999! Ginger is spayed and microchipped. She is also up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and she's dewormed.

Our adoption process begins with you meeting Ginger. Feel free to schedule a play date with her and your existing dog(s). After you fill out an application, we will verify your references and do a brief home inspection. If all goes well, we will deliver Ginger to you for a small adoption fee. We then ask that you sign our adoption contract.

We will do a follow-up visit approximately two weeks to one month after the adoption to ensure that Ginger is adjusting well to her new home and that she's happy and healthy.

We feel our adoption process is the best way to vet good owners and to guard against people seeking dogs for dog fighting, bait dogs, and/or dog sales. We only have our rescue dogs' best interest in mind and we do everything we can to ensure that they go to the very best home and that it's the perfect fit.
