My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ranger is a very sweet, mellow little beagle boy. You can hold him in your lap and he won't move! He likes to snuggle with his foster mom in bed or on the couch. He is not at all dominant and gets along very well with the resident female dog. He will play with her if he feels like it, otherwise he's content to take long naps. Ranger likes to bark at squirrels and bunnies and has a rather loud bark, so he probably wouldn't be suitable for an apartment. He will stay in his crate comfortably if he's put in, but if he knows someone's around, he'll be barking! He needs a very secure backyard because he likes to dig his way out if he's able. Ranger is an early bird and likes to get up to eat breakfast and go outside, but then will go right back to sleep. He hasn't had an accident in the house in 3 weeks, so is probably completely housetrained.
His foster parents are amazed at how well he gets along with people of all ages, even their one year old. He used to be very skittish at first, but has made excellent strides and is a brand new beagle! He would do great with other dogs, as this probably would continue to build his confidence, but it also may contribute to his excitability, so he would probably be good on his own also. A general obedience class would be beneficial.
