My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marshall is a 13-week-old, 25-lb. possible English Setter/Yellow Lab mix. He loves every person he meets and he especially loves children. Unlike many puppies that can be wild and a bit too rough with youngsters, Marshall has been very gentle. He will run and play and interact but has never been mouthy or pushy. He also loves other dogs - large, small, young, old, Marshall has a tail wag and kisses for everyone. As puppies go he is very mellow, his energy level is on the lower side. He has his zoomie moments but overall he’s just a laid back guy. Marshall loves toys but his favorite past time is chewing his Nylabone. He’s also doing great with housebreaking. He will go potty outside every time he’s let out so he absolutely knows where he’s supposed to potty. He will also stand by the back door when he needs to go outside, and he doesn’t have accidents in his crate. His foster parents are working on leash walking and that is still a work in progress but he does know the “sit” command and knows to sit for his treats, which he takes very gently. The loud noise of a car backfiring really scared Marshall and he ran inside and hid. He needed a lot of patinece and coaxing to trust going outside again. So Marshall will need an adopter who can be patient with him and help him to trust that scary noises are not going to hurt him. For that reason we also are looking for a home with a privacy fenced backyard for him.  Marshall is also a great car rider. Marshall is just an all around great puppy who would love another dog to play with and children to love.  Like all puppies his age, Marshall will need potty and exercise breaks every 3 hours and to continue his training and socialization. Marshall is an awesome boy and will make a wonderful family dog. If you feel that Marshall is a great fit for your home, you have the time to devote to him for a lifetime, and live in the central Florida/Orlando area please send in an application and let us know more about your family.
