Kiefer is a 2-year-old, 49 lb. weighted blanket. This affectionate guy loves to cuddle and give kisses. Naturally, he thinks he is a lap dog and would be overjoyed if you’d let him up on the couch or your bed!
Kiefer enjoys sniffing around nature, destroying squeaky toys, and licking frozen Kongs. He is comfortable around dogs of all sizes and likes to play and chase. He greets other dogs politely and seems to thrive in a family unit with more than one dog.
This strong pup is still learning manners so an owner with experience training larger breeds could be helpful. His leash-walking skills are promising and he only pulls if he sees seagulls or butterflies. Kiefer is crate trained but will cry for a few minutes when he is put away for bedtime, just to see if you change your mind.
Kiefer aims to please and is highly motivated by food and praise. He knows how to sit, lay down, roll over, sit pretty, spin, and touch. His “off” command is still in the works, as he can get very excited about food and want to put his paws on the counter.
Like most geniuses, he has a giant head. He uses it to push open doors and casually knock against walls since he has no clue how big it is.
