My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! My name is Thelma. My sister (Louise) and I were found and brought to the local shelter. We were super scared there and did not want to leave our kennel...nor did we want to engage with staff. We waited for our family to come get us but they never came. Thankfully the nice people at Rhodie's Rescue came and got us out of the kennel and saved us from that scary place! We are both doing very well now in our foster home and ready to find the very best forever home now!
Here's a bit about me:
I'm between 1-2 yrs of age and about 20 lbs +/-. They tell me I look to be a Schnauzer mix with medium length wavy hair (that will require regular grooming and daily brushing to keep from matting)
I'm a very sweet girl, who can be a bit shy at first, but warm up very quickly. I love being petted and I'm very affectionate. I'm also a very fun and playful girl! I love playing with any kind of toys...you throw it and I'll fetch it! I have to admit that bouncing balls are probably my favorite, although you will catch me happily chewing on my chew bones as well.
I'm good on leash and I really enjoy my daily walks....I'm a very good walking buddy. I'm good in the car too, so I would love to accompany you on walks/hikes to different places.
I'm crate trained and house trained. I am okay with other dogs, but definitely prefer dogs my size. I have not met any cats yet, nor do I have any experience with children, so my new home should not have any cats and since I can sometimes be skiddish it would be best not to have children under 8 yrs of age in my new home. My home requires an attached yard with minimum 5’ secure fencing.
My adoption fee is $500 which includes, health examination, current basic vaccinations, spay, microchip, flea and deworming treatment, along with any other medical or dental deemed necessary by my veterinarian.
