Coming soon!!! Meet Coulter! He is being fostered in Portsmouth, VA. Coulter is a 3 year old 24 pound mini Aussie, who is such a good boy. He is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and current on all preventatives.
Coulter is the sweetest boy there is and loves to cuddle and give kisses. He is the perfect size to be a lap dog, as he thinks he should be. He is a fast, high velcro dog, meaning he will attach to one person very quickly. He does have some separation anxiety, but gets over it fairly quickly. He already knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and paw. We are working on come, stay, and how to walk on a leash properly. He pulls on the leash some, but with some correction, he walks fine. Being his small size, his pulling is easily managed, but can be corrected.
He is a medium energy dog, which means he still needs an energy outlet, but he loves to just cuddle as well. He loves to play with toys and balls, but keep away is his favorite game. He does fine with other dogs and cats, but has not been tested around children.
He does prefer to have all of the attention, so he would do best in a household with one other dog or by himself. He will tell the other animals to go away, so that he can be the attention hog.
Coulter needs a home willing to give him some time to warm up to people and new things. He has some stranger danger at first, but eventually warms up and wants all of the attention. He will make someone a great companion! He needs someone who loves to cuddle and is willing to provide A LOT of attention. Coulter is the sweetest and cutest pup and deserves a great home that will love and spoil him!

There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.
