My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Trooper! Trooper is a 3 month old lab mix. Trooper came from a high kill shelter in Tennessee where he was found as a stray with two of his siblings. When Trooper arrived to his foster home he was a little nervous and shy but quickly warmed up to everyone! Trooper is not only handsome, but smart and loving too.

In his foster home he lives with four older kids (12+) and six (6) large dogs. Trooper gets along great with all of them! There are always friends and kids coming and going in Trooper’s foster home and he welcomes each guest as if he has known them all his life! Trooper’s foster family also has ducks and chickens and he does not mind them at all.

Trooper has a medium energy level and loves to play with the kids and dogs in his foster home to burn energy. After a day full of playing Trooper is happy to curl up on a dog bed with a benebone to relax with his foster family. Trooper loves to go on short walks with his foster mom  and is learning leash manners quickly! Trooper is a very smart boy and knows most of his basic commands such as sit, wait, and fun. His foster mom continues to work on down, stay, heel, and come, but Trooper has those commands almost mastered too. Trooper loves attention and to snuggle! At night Trooper sleeps in a crate with his blanket and benebone but when morning comes, he is ready to be out of his crate and hanging out with his foster family. Trooper is potty trained and will howl or bark when he has to go potty.

Trooper is a very handsome, smart, affectionate, loving puppy looking for his forever home! If you are looking for a furry additional to add to your family that is loyal, smart, good-looking, and sweet as can be Trooper is your boy! Adoption fee is $250. He is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped.
