PLEASE HELP US SAVE RILEY!
Imagine waking up one morning, thinking all would be great, you would take a nice walk, have a delicious breakfast, cuddle a little with your family, then take a quick road trip, when suddenly something changes, and you find yourself in a strange, loud, scary place, alone, and everyone you have ever known is gone, forever! That is what happened to Riley! Riley’s family moved across the country and could not take her with them. One might want to sympathize with the family but how they could surrender her to a high-kill-shelter, knowing that the shelter is over capacity and struggling to get their medium/large breed dogs out, especially their APBTs, that she could die (still can), is truly unbelievable! Unfortunately, this happens all too often! Riley’s family did her one favor when they left her, they left her with great owner notes, sharing that she has been an amazing family dog, great with kids, dogs, cats and so well behaved at home. Sadly, at the shelter, Riley is shut down, afraid, and completely lost without them. When we went to visit her, we took her for a walk, and much of the time she was looking for them. You could see she was hoping they might round the corner or the next or pop up at any moment. Riley would not take treats; her tail was mostly tugged but she wagged a little to show how grateful she was to us for the outside time and even gave us little kisses. Riley’s so beautiful with her bright blue eyes, little freckles just beneath, a cute cow patch on her back and she’s trying so hard to put on her brave face! Sadly, loyalty has gotten Riley nowhere but death row, please help us change that! Please help us save Riley, give her back the family she longs for and that she truly deserves! Her time is limited, trust me when I say limited, she truly may not have tomorrow! If you are interested in learning more, please reach out soon!
