My name is Jennifer Check!

Jennifer Check is, just like her namesake, delightful, unpredictable, and spicy! 

Miss Check is a complicated girl, a kitty with layers. The product of early neglect, she has spent her months in foster care learning how to cuddle, play, and ask for affection. She has recently begun sitting on her foster’s lap! This girl has discovered that she loves to be loved and to rub her face on you (and shove her face in your pockets if hands are not available for pets). 

She is also easily overstimulated and sent into a defensive place because all of this is so new to her! So she sometimes gets spicy and needs to be encouraged to take space and decompress. This will likely continue to reduce in intensity over time, and when she’s in a quieter environment with fewer animals about (she would prefer to be the only cat, but will, with time, tolerate a disinterested dog). 

Be the person who understands her and gives her the chance she should have had from the beginning. Adopt Jennifer Check. 

Jennifer Check is FIV+. FIV+ kitties live long healthy lives indoors with or without other pets in the home. She would do best in an adult-only home.  If you're someone who loves embracing quirks and cherishing a sweet, odd baby, Jennifer Check is the perfect feline companion for you.
