My name is Rosie and I am looking for a new home. I was rescued in 2015 with my kittens and found a home with a lady after my kittens were weaned. Unfortunately she went into an assisted living home in April 2023 and I came back to PAWS-OK so they could find me a new great home. I am not a young cat and (admittedly) can be a little crotchety at times. I don't particularly like change and prefer to do "my thing" on "my schedule" (you cat people know what I am talking about!) I am so beautiful that my previous owner was happy to let me sleep in my bed in the middle of the coffee table most of the time - that way I could keep an eye on things! I know where my bread is buttered and usually have a more positive opinion of the humans who feed me, but don't get me wrong - I am NOT A CUDDLER! My previous owner had 2 small chihuahua dogs while I was with her but as you can imagine, they knew I was the boss and mostly stayed out of my way. I am really just looking for another quiet home, a soft bed in a window (or on a coffee table?), occasional petting/brushing and regular chow. I don't require a lot if interacting time and am totally house trained.
PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008. All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home. We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes. Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age. A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours.
If you are interested in adopting a new cat from PAWS-OK for your family, please go to our Adoption Request form at https://form.jotform.com/pawsokrescue/adoption-request-form . Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days. If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center. If we cannot help you, we may redirect you to other sources for a cat that may better fit your situation. Thank you for looking at our available cats and kittens. If you have any questions, please reach out for us at pawsokrescue@gmail.com.
