My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scarlett is a sweet little cat who was surrendered to PAWS in September 2020 as a single small kitten.  She was paired up with a handicapped kitten named Scooter until they were both about 1 year old then Scooter found a home. Scarlett is playful, easy to hold once she gets used to you and very loving. Scarlett developed some skin issues after Scooter left which have been diagnoses as stress related and we believe she really needs a home with another cat. She loves boxes and cardboard scratchers, she is mostly very quiet and her skin issue is not contagious.

PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008.  All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home.  We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes.  Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age.  A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours.

If you are interested in adopting a new cat from PAWS-OK  for your family, please go to our Adoption Request form at  https://form.jotform.com/pawsokrescue/adoption-request-form .  Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days.  If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center.  If we cannot help you, we may redirect you to other sources for a cat that may better fit your situation.  Thank you for looking at our available cats and kittens.  If you have any questions, please reach out for us at pawsokrescue@gmail.com.
