IN Pace, FL - Brutus is a big goofy 7 month old boy! He’s still overcoming some fears, but is making great progress. He loves to chase a ball and play with other dogs. He enjoys chewing on a variety of toys. He has a love for water that includes putting his paws in his water dish as well as sticking his head in! It’s a bit messy, so drip trays are recommended! He is still learning to use a doggie door because it frightens him a little bit, but he is house broken. He is great about pottying outside, but he just might need you to open the door for him!
Brutus likes hanging out in his kennel to feel safe when he needs a break from everything around him. He eats any and all food he gets access to, so if there are other dogs around they need to be fed separately. Brutus is happy to eat in his kennel. He sleeps happily inside but likes to have a blanket cover it to make it more “den like.” He’s still a little shy at meeting new people and might take a little time and coaxing to be pet very much. He rides well in a car, but is nervous walking on a leash. He does better with more familiar routes, but new places may cause him to lay down and refuse to walk. Treats help! Food is a great motivator.
Brutus has not been very comfortable with children. He avoids them by running away or hiding in his kennel. A calm environment would works best to help Brutus come out of his shell a little more.

There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new family. All adoption fees are used for future recue efforts.
