My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ika is very very loving and has much playful energy. She loves to run and be active for some periods of the day. She loves laying on her back and getting belly rubs, that's her sweet spot!

Most of the day she can be calm and on her own, playing with her toys or sleeping (she knows how to stay busy on her own). Gets super excited when she´s given attention or going out for a walk. She barks very little. She´s only peed in the house a couple of times but other than that she very much prefers and knows to do it only outside. Outdoors she can be in all environments, in the water, loves hikes, and running with other dogs (she still needs to learn how to behave a little better when on a leash and to learn to calm down when she´s overexcited with other dogs, like most puppies).

She truly is a great dog and deserves a loving family.

Ika is being fostered in Ajijic, Mexico, and can be adopted locally or to the United States or Canada.

More about this rescue

Bone Voyage is a non-profit rescue group created to send Mexican dogs north to better homes. We work with the local shelters and with people in the Lake Chapala area that have many street dogs in their care.

We also assist individuals that find street dogs and don’t know what to do with them. We are all volunteers working together to try to minimize the amount of homeless dogs in the area.
