My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trixie - Spitz mix - female - 17 weeks - www.twyla.org

If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org

Meet Trixie: This darling little girl found herself abandoned in a rescuers yard with luck on her side, when a foster home opened. Trixie is about 17 weeks old, according to the Vet and a very petite 10 lbs.  We estimate her to get no bigger than 30lbs. The fosters older dogs weren't enamored with the puppy energy she brought with her, but she has won most of the over while learning boundaries and social cues from the resident dogs and cats.

Trixie loves toys, and will play "un-build-a-bear" when possible, but also likes Kong toys and balls. She is learning to sit for treats, copies the other dogs to go outside when she can, and use pee pads when she can't. She is good in a crate, gets along well with the other large and small dogs in the house, has met (and learned to respect) the business end of a cat and is generally a smart and active puppy.

Trixie is looking for a home with another dog for her to play with and someone home to continue her house training would be best. Kids are fine as long as open doors and escape opportunities are managed and her interest in stuffed toys is addressed, as she cannot yet tell the difference between appropriate toys and inappropriate toys (hers vs the kids toys).

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
