From his current family: "Pepe is a spunky papillon terrier mix who was rescued as a stray. He is housebroken, loves people, running laps in the backyard and his little dog couch! We have been improving a lot with his leash walking skills, but on occasion he barks and pulls at dogs walking close toward him. People in the neighbourhood recognize him by his prance! He does have a tendency to resource guarding but with continued training and consistency, he has so far been doing great! Pepe is ideally looking for an adult only home (older dog-savvy kids welcome of course as long as they understand the cues of resource guarding and respect his boundaries) and an experienced dog owner. Once he gains your trust he will be your best friend! Pepe loves head scratches, liver treats and going on adventures. He’s great in the car, unbothered by fireworks and would love if anyone is interested in agility training! Pepe is a true goofball but thrives with structure. He is a very smart but sometimes stubborn boy and will use his cuteness to his advantage! LOL. He is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night with no issues! He is looking for a family that can continue to help him thrive with structure, boundaries and lots of love and adventures! He loves rolling in the grass and doing zoomies so a fenced in backyard would make his world! Pepe has been going to daycare where he runs and plays and gets along great with all dogs, but at home - he prefers to be the only pup and have his people all to himself ? . Pepe is ready to make you smile!"
