My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Durango is a shepherd mix with Carolina Dog and a little Husky (possibly). He was rescued from San Bernardino City shelter where he was a trainer & shelter favorite. Durango is high energy, loves to run and play, then relax, then run and play again. He went (on leash) on a run with his foster Dad and loved it. Durango is fine with kids (currently in boarding where there is a 7-year old), but possibly not good around toddlers because of his size and enthusiasm. He loves playing with other dogs, but has not been exposed to very small dogs yet. Durango is a wonderful, playful, goofy, and sweet dog, and ready for his forever home! He is currently being boarded on a farm in San Diego.

Please contact his guardian angel Barbara at barbarafdoyle@gmail.com or (310) 613-2255 to meet Durango!

More about this rescue

My name is Michelle Johnson. I have been doing animal rescue (and disaster work with animals) for over 20 years. I have always loved animals, and when growing up I always had a dog. I know what joy it adds to your life to have a pet. I have a firm belief in God and that he gives each of us a special "Gift". I beleive mine is to be responsible for the pets, whose owners are not. I take this responsibility, very seriously. I am grateful to be able to help these dogs. and will continue to do so for as long as I can!! If there is Dog in Need, I will always do my best to help it.
