I am an easy-going and sweet girl who learns more and more each day about what it means to love humans. I can take a bit of time to warm up and come around, but when I do I unleash a full personality of silliness! I am full of personality! I can be quite playful, and I enjoy playing with the other cats in the room and playing with toys. While I can be quite spunky, I do enjoy relaxing and getting a good nap in. I do like to sit back and observe nature and my surroundings. I enjoy all the pets and lovings, especially my head and butt! I love to greet people and remind them how sweet and cute I am!

I would do fine in a home with another cat who is looking for a playmate and a cuddle partner, and I may do okay with a cat friendly dog with a slow and positive introduction. I may also be okay as an only cat. I would do best in a home with older children (8+) pending observation. I can be very unsure at first and may take some time to come around to the new environment. I do not enjoy being picked up; I will tolerate it for a bit, but I will let you know when I have had enough.

I know I would make a lovely companion for the right person, couple, or family! I am looking for my purrfect fit!

Our application is available on our website, HSSCM.ORG

Approve Application

Processing takes 3-5 business days. We are currently not scheduling any visits without an approved application.

3.
Meet the Pet

After approval, we will schedule you/your household to visit + meet the pet of interest.

4.
Take the Pet Home

At the end of your visit, we would be able to complete adoption papers + you will take your new companion home!

Additional adoption info

All adoptions begin with an application on our main website, HSSCM.ORG.
Once your application is competed and submitted, processing generally takes 3 business days- pending our schedule and the number of applications ahead of yours. Once processed we will contact you and, if approved, will set up an appointment for an adoption counsel. If you are looking to adopt a dog and have a current dog in the home, we will require a match-up before finalizing any adoption.

About Us:
We are the area's nonprofit advocate, sanctuary and source for companion animals since 1887.

Our Mission:
-to protect animals from suffering and cruelty
-to provide safe and responsible care for unwanted or abused companion animals
-to enhance the lives of animals and people through education, adoption, and foster care.

We believe in second chances at the Humane Society of South Central Michigan. Our service area includes all of Calhoun County and parts of Kalamazoo, Barry and Branch counties. We keep animals as long as it takes to find a good home for adoption once the animal passes temperament testing and is checked for good health. The Watkins Road shelter cares for up to 100 animals a day, and adopts out more than 500 animals a year. Countless area residents use the Society’s animal care, adoption and education programs each year. The Humane Society is overseen by a board of directors. We do not receive any government or tax dollars, or national humane organization funding. Our services are made possible by people in our community who care about homeless cats and dogs - people like you!
