My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Philomena!

Howdy friends! The names Philomena, but feel free to call me Philly for short! I'm a tiny gal at 6 pounds, but am full of spunk! I was found as a stray dragging my back end, and was just kind of in rough shape overall. I'm somewhere around the age of "senior", and I don't have a single tooth! That doesn't stop me having a top notch appetite and accepting tiny treats between those meals I enjoy so much. My recent lab work looked totally normal, and the vet said I could swim in the bath tub given my size! It helps me to build strength, and I have been walking more and more every day since getting rescued. My foster family will even send me to my forever home with the life jacket they got me! I have been rocking some cute little diapers to protect my bum when I drag, and as the occasional accident occurs. I am great at tinkling outside every 4-6 hours, and use washable pads when my people are at work. I don't always know when I have to go number two, but I am a little thing with small amounts of waste. Clean up is no big deal when you get to spend time with a gal like me! I enjoy the outdoors, but should stay off the pavement as keeping my legs and bum free of scrapes if I drag is important. I like to tool around the yard with my foster siblings, but really prefer the company of dogs who aren't in my face all the time. I have been known to show my displeasure with a good healthy squeal, and they may hear it if they get it my space. I haven't met any kids yet, but the older variety would likely be best as I am such a tiny girl. I am not sure what I think of felines, but my foster family could see them experiencing my squeaky sound track if they get in my path. I sleep in a crate at night, and enjoy the comforts of my pen on the days I don't join my foster mom at work. Oh, did I mention I love visiting the nursing home? Snuggling in when someone picks me up, or sits with me is kind of my thing! Got any room on your couch for a little gal like me?

*Philomena is being fostered in the Green Bay area.
