My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlee is a Treeing Walker Coonhound. He doesn’t have a bark, but rather a classic coonhound bay. Charlee loves taking leisurely walks. He enjoys sniffing around the neighborhood or trail. However, he can keep pace if you need him to. Once home, you can find him snoring and snoozing the day away in one of his favorite spots. When Charlee’s awake, he is a lovable happy guy! He has big brown eyes that will melt your heart!

Some other facts about Charlee:

- He is between 5-7 years old
- He weighs around 65 pounds
- He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped
- He likes playing and wrestling with other dogs
- He is easy to walk. He only pulls if he is trying to sniff something.
- He is nice to other dogs and humans while on his walks. Sometimes he will bay to get their attention.
- He is crate trained
- He does well with his bath (although it’s not his favorite thing in the world)
- He likes doggie daycare and has done well while boarded overnight
- He isn’t bothered by storms or fireworks
- He is mostly house trained
- He does well at his vet visits
- He loves car rides with the windows down

Charlee is in urgent need of a family without children. He has some resource guarding issues that he hasn’t been able to overcome. He also has trouble if he is touched or startled while sleeping. Charlee’s current family loves him very much. However, they just welcomed home a new baby.

Charlee would be a wonderful companion for someone who can give him the care and attention he needs. Adoption fee is $200.
