My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tilly is a sweet girl who loves cuddling with her person on the couch or running and playing with her larger 4-legged friends. She’s very versatile and just down to do any activity her people have in mind. When she’s happy or excited she will do this little tippy tap with her front paws so she has gotten the nickname “tip tappin Tilly”!

She would do best in a home with no cats or small dogs. She knows sit and down (as in lay down) we have been working with multiple commands and she has done wonderful! She’s a great listener and recalls very easily. Loves car rides! And great on a leash! Till is the perfect size at 33 lbs.

Tilly is spayed and up to date on all her shots. Tilly is heartworm + but she is on treatment to start taking care of that. We can’t wait to meet you!

More about this rescue

PIPs key focus is dogs with special or medical needs (who we call Pip-abled), however, we have many non-PIP-abled dogs too! We made it easy to decipher PIP-abled verses non-PIP-able; simply look at each dogs picture and bio.

The Pioneers had a vision to take in the most urgent rescues no one else could which includes puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, dogs with special needs and medical cases in and around North Carolina. Our main purpose is to rescue as many dogs in need as we can with a special focus on special needs.
