My name is Olivia and I am a beautiful Aussie x Catahoula mix dog. I am what is known as a double merle-- The genetic mutation is what give me my beautiful blue eyes and pretty white coat. Unfortunately it also causes deafness. But, please don't let my hearing impairment prevent you from adopting me. It doesn't prevent me from doing anything. I love to get out and about on walks and hikes, sniffing is my hobby. I'm a smart girl and learn quickly. My foster mom is working on teaching me sign language. I have already mastered "sit" and "come". I like other dogs; but, I need a slow introduction. Dogs that come on too strong scare me. My foster mom says that I am the sweetest little-big girl that she has ever met. I haven't met a cat, so we are sure how I would do. I would love a calm and mellow house with no small (young) children. I am house broken and crate trained, I walk well on a leash with a harness, I am spayed and up to date on my vaccinations. 2. Have a meet and greet to determine "fit"
3. Undergo a home check
4. Complete a trial adoption (2-7 days0
5. Complete an adoption contrace
6. Pay an adoption fee ($100 for seniors, $125 adult dogs, $150 for puppies).

The dogs in our rescue come largely from shelters where they have been deemed "unadoptable" to the general public due to physical disabilities, medical problems and/or behavioral issues. Herding Haven provides medical care, physical and behavioral rehabilitation and then works to very hard to find the dogs the perfect forever home.
