My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Frank and I am a 2-year-old Jack Russell mix, I weigh 14 lbs and I was a stray dog, living on the streets in downtown San Antonio during a heat wave. Daily temps were over 100 degrees and I was trying my best to stay cool, fed, and hydrated, hoping someone would pick me up or let me into an office building, or better yet, into a nice restaurant! That way I could eat, drink, and stay cool all in one great place. Even better, I was picked up by a dog rescue and now I’m living in a foster home with air conditioning, getting regular meals and playtime with the resident dogs. Only one thing could make this any better, and that is where you come in… I am dreaming of a forever home. The type with lots of love, plenty of playtime, walks to the park, rides in the car, and sometimes just kicking back on the couch watching Netflix. I am a happy boy and I’m friendly with everyone, I have lots of energy, and I’m usually smiling and wagging, even to strangers! I am great with kids, great with dogs, love to play, love chew toys and squeaky toys, and when I’m all pooped out I love to snuggle with my people. My foster mom says she loves my personality, my squatty body, and my little swagger when I come to greet you. I am totally a charmer and I don't do anything bad either. I’m housebroken, rarely bark, don’t chew your things, and don't dig in the yard or freak out when I can't see you. I will be a great addition to any groovy family that lets me stay active instead of a couch potato. I am hoping to meet you sometime next week when I hop off a rescue dog transport van somewhere in or near Connecticut. They tell me that's where I’ll find my future and it's all rainbows and roses from here on in!

* We encourage you to send us an email with your #1, #2, and #3 choices, and we will be happy to help you find a pup to complete your family! Also, please continue watching our listings as we post new dogs multiple times a week. There is no need to fill out another application, just let us know what other dogs you are interested in as they come up.
