My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella is a sweet and patient Scooby Doo lookalike who has adapted to life in our tiny downtown apartment very well. She even shares the space with a cat!

She is the perfect dog for us because we work from 9-5. She loves going for walks before and after work and seems content to spend the rest of the day snoozing in her crate. We’re able to leave her alone without any issues, and she’s always so happy to see us when we get home that her whole butt wiggles. It`s impossible not to smile when she greets us!

Playing fetch with her squeaky ball is her favorite thing in the whole world, and she also enjoys tug-of-war and going on runs with me. Afterwards, this quirky girl likes to cool down with her favorite snack: frozen broccoli!

The best thing about Bella is that she’s so polite. She doesn’t chew up anything or jump on people, which is great in such a small house. We were only going to foster her for two weeks, but we loved sharing our space with her so much that we kept her for a whole month!

Her previous owners said that they had Bella since she was a puppy. That she was good with the kids in the home, that she is playful, and crate trained. She is very energetic and loves her people, so may do best as an only dog.

Bella also spent a bit of time in a foster home multiple college roommates where she was a quiet houseguest overall and did well in a busy home. She did great with all people that she met, loves tennis balls, tug o’ war, and sleeping in bed next to her people.

Here is what one of the volunteers has said about her in the shelter:
“Bella is a gorgeous and friendly gal who shows her excitement for her walks without being pushy. She is eager in her kennel but comfortable with handling. I always look forward to my time with her. Bella is the perfect companion on walks. She loves attention and listens well, coming over quickly when called. On the other hand, she is also comfortable entertaining herself by sniffing and exploring. She takes treats nicely, eagerly leans into pets, wags her tail for praise and is a great loose leash walker. She seems confident and well-adjusted, having had various kennelmates and having been housed solo during her time at PACC.
Bella is such a well-adjusted little gal who is always easy and well-behaved.”
