My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bridget, the 1-year-old ball of joy that is sure to bring happiness to your home. Bridget is a black-and-white lab mix with a zest for life. She finds immense joy in looking out the window, enjoying the view, and is always ready for playtime and outdoor adventures.

Bridget is still learning how to be a dog and she does not know her size or strength sometimes. She would do better in a home with older kids who are able to help her learn appropriate house manners and respect her boundaries when she needs it.

If you're seeking an active and joyful companion who loves the outdoors, Bridget might be the perfect fit. With the right guidance and understanding, she has the potential to become a cherished member of your family, bringing endless joy and excitement to your home. Consider opening your heart to Bridget and providing her with the loving and supportive environment she deserves.

Stop in and meet Bridget in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.

Bridget is an all-star dog, and her adoption appointment includes a discussion with the training team, as well as a few enrichment goodies to help get you both off to a good start. To learn more about Bridget or to schedule an appointment to meet her, please email info@ahconnects.org (including your name and phone number), and the staff will be happy to assist you.

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Anderson Humane is a resource for pet owners, providing information and services to provide better care for their pets. Services such as our Low-Cost Vaccination, Dental, and Spay/Neuter Clinics offer affordable veterinary care options, preventing owners from having to give up their pets simply because they can’t afford care. On the horizon are additional programs to keep pets in homes, such as a pet food pantry, affordable pet training options, and temporary housing for pets when families are in crisis.
