Meet Stark! This 4-year-old, 8-lb. possible papillon/chihuahua mix is the most adorable little man you would ever be lucky enough to share your life with. He is polite, sweet, kind, funny and a love bug. He loves people and gets along well with most little dogs. He will sometimes warn other dogs if they are invading his space, but he is all talk. Stark prefers sleeping in bed with his human, but he is also good sleeping in a crate. If he is in a crate and others are not he will bark at any dog who comes near him. He walks well on a leash and harness but does bark at people and other dogs. Starky loves his belly rubs and is a kissing bandit! He will kiss you all day long, if you let him. When he first arrived, he was afraid of..well..everything. He now understands that car rides can be fun, other dogs can be friends and being held is safe. He currently lives in a home with many other little dogs, but has firm boundaries with other dogs. He likes playing with toys and balls. Stark is doing well with his house training as long as he is taken out often, and only wears a belly band at night. Due to trust issues, Stark must go to a family without young children. Stark does not have solid enough coping skills to do well in an environment with kids. Stark’s ideal family would be someone who wants to have him as an only dog or one of two. He would love a parent who is home more than they are gone and will help him understand house training and overcoming some of his other fears. A quieter, calm household is where Stark will thrive. Stark is such a wonderful boy. Living with him is a pure joy. His soft, luxurious coat makes petting him habit forming. His tricks and antics will have him owning your heart in no time. Stark does take an inexpensive daily supplement for mild to moderately elevated liver enzymes. Do you have the perfect home for Stark?
