My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oscar is a goofy, fun-loving pup, who loves human attention! He is still learning the leash, so needs a home that will take the time to train him on walks. He is very food motivated and would be a good companion for families with kids but would do best as your one and only fur baby. He loves belly rubs and being held. He is looking for his forever home so please consider adding this big love bug to your family.

Come meet Oscar at the main ranch location. For further information email dogswmr@gmail.com

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
