My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Skye is the sweetest most loveable Australian Cattle Dog. She does amazing on a leash and is a great walking partner. She stays right by your side and at your pace and just enjoys the outside. She is a little shy at first, but warms up pretty quickly to some gentle pets and some kind words. Once she trusts you, she will follow you by your side and loves to get hugs. She would greatly benefit from a nice walk each day and night snuggles.

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
