Meet Lightspeed, your energetic and playful ball-catching buddy! This sweet little gal is a bundle of energy, always up for a game of catch. While she`s super playful, Lightspeed is also incredibly affectionate and adorable to boot. She`s a sweetheart, getting along well with other dogs. Plus, she`s a fan of car rides, so you can take her on all sorts of adventures! Lightspeed is eager to join a loving home where she can bring endless joy, playfulness, and plenty of cuddles to her new best friend.

We have many wonderful pets waiting to be adopted! Adoption fees are $85 for dogs and $65 for cats (Dogs over 5 years old, $40). The adoption fee to persons over 55 years old is $40. Adoptions includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, heartworm test, fecal test, and Feline Leukemia/FIV test for cats.

Our shelter is open 7 days a week! Our hours are:
Monday, Wednesday - Friday: 11am - 7pm
Tuesday: 11am - 8pm
Saturday and Sunday: 11am - 6pm

Managed by LifeLine Animal Project, DeKalb County Animal Services provides a humane environment for DeKalb County’s homeless pets. We also provide other services such as veterinary care for our animals including spay/neuter surgeries, pet adoptions, pet reclaims, volunteer programs, foster home programs, rescue group coordination, and other lifesaving programs.
