PLEASE HELP RODNEY!! Rodney is a sweet boy but he wont be available for adoption for another month or so~! Poor Rodney was a stray with no hair on his back side, legs and bottom. He was longing from home to home searching for a loving family or kind soul to take him in. He has been with us for a month now and he is getting better! His hair is growing back and he is slowly gaining his weight back. He is such a sweetheart and this poor guy so deserves to find a special loving home! Rodney will be able to be adopted to the right family soon but at the current time he has to grow some more hair back in his legs and gain some more weight and get a final exam from our veterinarian before we can release him to his forever loving home! Poor Rodney needs a break can anyone give him one? He has the gentlest soul and he loves everyone he meets, no mean bone in this guys body whatsoever! When he meets you he has to rub up against you, give you his paw and start licking your hands or face, he looks at you with his soulful eyes and you cant help but not want to love him! He is super with children, he has been with babies, toddlers, teenagers etc and he loves them all. He is super with other dogs, he loves to play and rough house with the other dogs. He loves kitty cats too, he has never attempted to chase a kitty or harm one in anyway. He has been caught sleeping with them and cuddling with them. Rodney is the perfect family dog BUT we want to find someone whom can spend time with him as he needs love lots of it, he was a stray before we took him in and god only knows what he has been thru. He so wants love and can give you love back with no problem. He would be best suited though for someone who isnt away from home for long periods of time because he loves and thrives on human companion ship. Rodney is crate trained, all you have to do is say Rod lets go in the c rate now we are going out and he goes right into his crate.. He is such a good dog we cant say enough about him. For his requirements we do require that he has food that is high protein food, we also put a raw egg in his food once a wk, his coat is now shiny and soft and is getting back to where it is supposed to be! I would also like to see him in a home with other dogs, he loves to play and he gets along great with other dogs he surely needs to go to a home with other dogs or another dog. We want the best for this special dog. He is a large breed dog and with his lanky legs and clumsyness, he is funny when you have had a bad day and want to laugh. He can be clumsy at some times and daffy at times but he is a big love bug on four legs. Everyone i meet says he is part setter and part flat coated retriever, he is pure black and has white on his chest, he has a fe athery tail and feathery drawers. He loves belly rubs, sock toys,stuffed toys,doggie biscuits and chews, his favorite past time is playing with the other foster dogs and cuddling with the youngest in the family here which is a five yr old. If you have kids and worry abt him with kids, no fret there, he is the one you need for your kids as he isnt aggressive by any means, he loves to play but not be hyper. He is housebroken, he is cuddly and lets kids dress him up. He likes to be inside when your inside but when your outside he loves to be outside with his human. He is quiet, only barks when outside without his human so he needs to be able to come in when he is done going potty because he doesnt like to be outside away from his human. Please we know he isnt available for adoption for a month or so but if you would love more information on this sweet charasmatic boy please email us today.
