It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
MY MELODY, her 3 siblings (BILLY - SPOTTIE DOTTIE - KUROMI) and her mom HELLO KITTY were saved by a sweet man in his neighborhood in South Central, California. The neighbors were shooting the cats in the neighborhood. So the man that put her and her family in his bathroom. One of our rescue contacts called us. They went to our foster.
MY MELODY is now ready for his "FUREVER" home. FYI: Her and her family were named them after the show HELLO KITTY.
MY MELODY is a sweet, young kitten that loves people! She is charming but can be shy first! She will allow to get pets while she purrs away. She loves treats and loves her wet food. All MY MELODY wants is a nice lap and ALOT of love! But she does need a patient family that will allow her to do everything on her terms. She is a bit of afraid of everything.
MY MELODY is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / RUSSIAN BLUE MIX. She is about 6 months old (she's small for her age). She is good with cats and non-reactive to with dogs. She has never been around children. She's really good with guinea pigs too!

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)
2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

FEBRUARY 2024: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.
Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 4 pm - 9 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability.

The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.
Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.
We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
