Henry is a very special cat who was living on the streets of Kansas City, KS his whole life. He made many friends along the way, but now, at the beautiful age of 10, is ready for a safe life indoors. Henry was rescued by our Outreach Team who made sure he got all the age-appropriate medical attention he needed. He got a couple of teeth extracted and his eye, damaged while he was living on the streets, was removed for his comfort. He is currently being fostered by one of our amazing foster parents Judi, whom he follows around the house. Henry got used to the inside life pretty quickly, he loves being a lap cat and getting brushed. Although Henry is FIV+ (Feline immunodeficiency virus) he spends most of his time with his fellow foster animals. FIV is a common infectious disease of cats, and studies show that FIV+ cats can live long and happy lives. Because the primary mode of transmission for FIV is through bite wounds from an infected cat, Henry poses little threat to his fellow felines, seeing he does not have much teeth left, and is a very laidback, mellow boy. Henry would make a perfect companion for people who work from home or are retired. He loves affection and will be your forever couch potato!
