Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Stubby, McGee, a sweet, loving, gentle boy who found himself impounded at a very high-kill shelter... with serious injuries consistent with being caught in the engine of a vehicle (but we may never know, for sure). He required a tail amputation... leaving him with the cutest, little stub... which he holds straight up when he struts around the room.
He also endured what appears to be a burn on his front, right paw and a piece of his ear torn off - also on the right side.
But this doesn't slow down Stubbs McGee in the least!! In fact, we're pretty sure he doesn't know he's different than any other cat or kitten he encounters.
This boy LOVES to be held in your lap and will root around in search of a nipple... with his motor loudly vibrating. He greets you with an extensive vocabulary, too.
Even though this little cutie is still too young to be neutered, we're listing him here for pre-adoption... in hopes that the family who falls in love with him will also want to foster him until he fully vetted by us.
You'll find his complete rescue journey chronicled in Photo Album #31 on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" as well as video updates on his incredible progress. *Be sure to check out his adoption video to see his many facets!
Stubb's adoption will include his:
* Neuter surgery,
* De-worming,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination (if old enough),
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution),
* and Micro chipping!
~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~
* Please only contact us if you'll be making him a permanent member of your household and will be keeping him safe indoors.
** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!
Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!
