Riley is ready—ready for a couch to call his own, ready for an owner he can count on and learn from, ready for his fur-ever family.

Riley is a smart and cuddly mini-doodle. He enjoys puzzles and training and is eager to please his people. He also enjoys the companionship of dogs his own size and is tolerant of larger dogs with thoughtful introduction. He would also do well as an only dog as he doesn’t like to share his space or treats. Crate-rest is a must for this curious fellow and champion counter-surfer. He’s pretty content to snooze the day away while you work from home after some mental and physical stimulation to tucker him out.

Riley needs an experienced owner who will allow time for him to decompress and maintain firm boundaries. Riley isn’t a patio pup or hiking companion; he’s much more comfortable in his own home and his own (well-fenced) yard. He needs an owner who will respect his need for security and predictability and invest in building trust with him. His adopter will need to continue working with his separation anxiety. Riley is a quirky pup who has a lot of reasons not to trust humans. It is to his credit that he keeps trying to find his fur-ever fit; he keeps seeking (however tenuous) connections to people. Riley’s adopter must be committed to working through his challenges to create a permanent home for Riley..

Riley’s adoption fee is $600. He is HW negative, current on all HW/Flea preventatives, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy Dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Riley a second chance.
