Meet Skittle! Skittle was brought in to be surrendered with two other cats, but their owner left before giving any information about them. After being left at the front desk, Skittle has been very shut down in the shelter. He lives with one of the other cats, Dustee, and they get along well. Skittle doesn`t like being alone and would do best in a home with another cat; he would love to stay with Dustee but another resident cat would be okay as well. His cage presence might not be the best but there`s a sweet boy under his terrified exterior. If you`re willing to open your home and heart to give Skittle the second chance he deserves, he`s here hiding in his cave bed and waiting for you.

AFHS is open 7 days a week, and adoptions are first come, first serve. We encourage you to visit the shelter to meet our pets.

Cats - 5 months and over: $40.00
Kittens - 4 months and under: $50.00
Senior Cats - 7+ years: $10.00
Dogs – 5 months and over: $95
Puppies – 4 months and under: $200
Senior Dogs - 7+ years: $50
Each animal receives age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, flea/tick prevention, microchip, county license & Heartworm prevention for dogs, trial bag of Hill's Science Diet food, and 30 days free pet insurance. AFHS is open 7 days a week and no appointment is needed to visit with adoptable pets!
Dogs must leave the shelter with a collar and leash, which can be purchased at the shelter at the time of adoption if you do not have one to bring with you.
