My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zest & Cammie
Zest is a 3 month old (June 2023) blue point, mitted, Purebred ragdoll with stunning blue eyes.
Camomile (Cammie) is a 7 month old (February 2023) cream point, Purebred ragdoll with beautiful blue eyes and fur that is soft like a bunny.

Zest & Cammie are a stunning and special duo who are looking for a very special adopter who will accept them as a bonded pair.
Zest is the first kitten to come running when you call his name and respond to you with an instant purr. Our little Zest is the most outgoing kitten and is bonded with his older "sister" Cammie. Zest acts as Cammie's security blanket.

Cammie seems to have come from a situation where she lacked human interaction and socialization at the most critical time in her kittenhood. Zest, being the younger kitten, received that socialization while at the rescue and is truly the perfect kitten.

Cammie is a very shy girl, who needs a new home that will give her patience and willing to spend the time working to bring her out of her shell. Cammie has shown great progress in her current foster home, thanks to Zest. Cammie is learning that humans aren't as scary as she initially thought.

When Cammie first came to the rescue, she would hiss when approached, and reluctantly allowed pets. Cammie no longer hisses and is still reluctant when you reach out to pet her, but her foster can pick her up and she will lay on our chest and purr. Cammie is really enjoying chin scratches. This is HUGE progress for our shy, previously hissing girl.
We credit this progress to Cammie's "little brother" Zest. When Cammie is with Zest, he really helps bring her out of her shell. When they are playing together, Cammie forgets she is scared of humans and plays like the kitten that she still is.
Zest is the key to opening up Cammie's potential.

Their new owner must be patient with Cammie and allow her to feel comfortable in her new space. Cammie may never be a social lap cat, but with time, she may come around and bond to that special person. Cammie is currently choosing to lay next to her foster, while she is gaining confidence. We are beyond happy with her progress and know she will continue in the right home.

With this pair, you will not lack for cuddles or entertainment. Zest is an extremely outgoing, playful and loving kitten. He is often in the same room as his person, and loves to attack your feet while you are working in the kitchen. He is virtually bulletproof, having been raised with other cats, dogs and older children. Nothing seems to phase Zest.

One thing that must be noted with Zest, he has seen 4 different veterinarians for vaccines and well check visits. One of the vets did say they heard a heart murmur via stethoscope. We took him to a different vet to recheck specifically listening for a murmur and they did not hear a murmur. There is a slight potential that Zest has a heart murmur but it cannot be confirmed without an expensive echocardiogram.

Due to Cammie's timidness but comfort from Zest, these two must be adopted as a bonded pair.
They are in their foster home in Austin, TX.
Adoption fee $500 for the pair.

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states. Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

All cats are considered mixed breeds unless otherwise stated. As a rescue, we often don’t know a cat’s origins, and do our best to guesstimate their breed. This is not a guarantee. We do get purebreds from time to time and that will be stated in their description if known.

Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.

YOUNG CAT COMPANION POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.
