My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stella (born 8/25/2019) is a sweet, petite (she weighs 7 pounds) black and white kitty with soft fur. Stella was rescued in Manhattan and arrived with a broken leg that needed many months to heal and mend. Fully recovered, Stella enjoys playing with her toys and scratching on the scratch pad! Affectionate and loving, once she knows you, she prefers people to cats and would love to be your one and only “lap cat”.

We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We also have a great adoption matchmaking team who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. We start the process once you have submitted an application to us.

FOR AN APPLICATION, please visit http://humanesocietyny.org/adoptions/ and download then email your application to hsny.adopt@gmail.com.
