My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sal is just under 2 years old and is a black and white cat looking to find his forever home. He has come such a long way since he was originally trapped 2+ years ago when he did not want any human interaction. Thankfully, the person who took him inside, gave him the time, love, and patience that he needed. Sal now loves to get pet, loves squeeze up treats, and loves laying with other cats. Sal is still shy around new people, so he will need a patient adopter that will give him the time and space that he will need. Sal does hiss but it often does not have any heat. He will allow pets as long as you go slow. Sal LOVES other cats and is often seen cuddly with them, for this reason we feel that Sal needs to go to a home with another feline companion to hang out with. Someone has sponsored a portion of his adoption fee in the hopes of helping him find his forever home!

Sal did test positive for FIV but everyone that follows us knows that is no big deal. Cats with FIV can live long, happy lives and can live with non-FIV cats as long the cats get along. We are happy to answer questions about FIV.

Sal is negative for FelV, receive age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, are spayed/neutered and are microchipped (free lifetime registration with adoption).

All of our pets go home with a "Go Home Goody Bag" that includes a starter supply of food, treats, toys, and a voucher for a free month of pet insurance from Trupanion.

Adoptions need to complete our adoption application and once received, our Adoption Counselor will call you to discuss your application to get to know you and your family. We will conduct a home visit and call your vet for a reference. Once you application is approved, you are able to meet the animal (s) you are interested in. If it's a match, you will need to sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
