My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mara Jade is the sweetest big girl. She’s full of energy and love to share. She enjoys long walks, belly rubs, and being around people. This girl is smart, loyal and full of personality. If you want a dog that will be your loving best friend, Mara Jade is the dog for you!

Notes from her foster - “ Mara Jane is such a happy girl! She loves attention and lots of affection. She doesn’t fully understand the concept of personal space because she just loves everyone so much. She may be a little skittish towards men, but is full of energy when there is an opportunity to play. She enjoys fast walks and gets super excited every time you put on walking shoes 😊 She welcomes you with kisses as soon as you come home! Mara Jane will be a great addition to your home, especially if you’re looking for joy and laughter”

Another foster: " She is truly thriving in foster care and she is an absolute angel! She sleeps so well in her crate (or her “house” as me and my roommate call it) and seems to take a liking to it, often times putting herself in there when she’s tired to let us know she wants to go to bed! She’s slept in the bed with me twice now and sleeps wonderfully! However, when she notices you wake up, she’s ready to go and play! Mara does fantastic using the bathroom outside and not tearing up things in the house. She eats well and makes sure all of her food is gone! She has a particular liking to Pink Lady apples, duck and sweet potato bone chews, and ice! She is captivated by whatever is on the TV, but she has a particular liking to a YouTube channel called “Country Life Vlog” and she watches it very intensely. Mara will follow you everywhere and make sure you’re not going somewhere unaccompanied, she is truly a little shadow! She is so playful and loves her toys, and enjoys playing independently but also bringing toys to us. She always greets you with lots of smiles, hugs, and kisses the second you walk in the door! Her favorite way to burn energy is by running around playing outside and sniffing everything. Overall, she is just a perfect darling girl and we are having the best time spoiling her and giving her all the love she deserves. "
