Hello, humans; my name is Katy. I'm a 3-year-old 26 lb poodle mix.

I had a difficult start as I was living in a puppy mill, but I'm learning to trust and find my inner dog.

Being outside, going for walks, and hanging around my person are some joys I have found. I've recently begun to go for short car rides, and although I wasn't sure at first, they are not all bad.

Reassurance is key for me as I'm exploring life with people. Every day gets better and better as I learn to trust, and given time and patience, we can be besties.

I enjoy meeting other dogs and have recently discovered squirrels. My biggest hurdle is the people I don't know. I prefer to watch from a distance. New family and friends would need to let me get comfortable at my own pace.

My perfect forever home would be quiet, slow-paced and routine is key with me. All this makes me feel safe; you will see my sweet, bashful personality.

I would love to be your forever girl if you have the time, patience and understanding.
